Safety First
The vessel has a life raft at the rear for 25 persons, and 4 life rings. It comes with the full complement of Maritime and Coastguard Agency recommended safety equipment and is classified to MCA Category 4 and also is a Class V passenger vessel.
01Hull
An aluminium hull provides light weight with high strength and a smooth ride through the water. A deep vee shape allows comfort at speed and the slippery shape assists the fast acceleration. The vessel can stop and turn in its own length from full speed due to the fantastic manoeuvrability provided by the jets giving a wide safety margin for use on the River Thames.
02Power
The mid engined Twin Steyr 256 diesel engines provide over 500 hp through Rolls Royce jets. The positioning gives a perfect centre of gravity, designed to be air lifted and stay level. It also allows the boat to run level providing outstanding performance and handling. The vessel is set up for strong acceleration giving 0-30 knots in 10 seconds, and a speed in excess of 40 knots. The engine/jet combination provides smooth running and high levels of safety.
03Collar
The vessel is surrounded by a hard cell core fully deformable collar designed to take hard impacts in a military environment. It also provides buoyancy and stability in a similar way to a Rigid Inflatable Boat giving extra safety and dynamic stability in all conditions.
04Seating
With seating for 8 persons in front of the engines, and 12 behind, 20 adults can fit on the vessel in comfort. The aluminium construction provides immense strength with upholstered comfort for hours at a time.
05Loading
Passengers can load from the front or the side in complete safety from a wide variety of piers and other locations.
